We have the following opportunities available in the San Francisco Bay Area. Please also contact us if you are located in the greater Seattle, Vancouver, B.C. , Las Vegas and Los Angeles metropolitan areas as we may be recruiting talented designers, seamstresses and artisans in your area. PARTNERS

Relationships may include collaboration, designing, co-designing, co-marketing, illustrating, subcontracting, reselling, sponsoring, sales and other agreements, especially off-shore manufacturing partners for mass production of certain items for corporate accounts. Your location may not be relevant.

DESIGNERS AND FRANCHISE MANAGERS

May work independently or have an opportunity to manage a group of seamstresses and artisans. Concept and costume designers must be able to do it all from concept design to sewing on buttons, including interacting with visual designers and corporate sales on quotes and detailed costume and item descriptions. You are responsible for everything from possibly a working sketch to working with sales and clients about design details. Concept and costume designers are responsible for all stages of the prototype design and production life cycles, sometimes purchasing, especially quality assurance, possibly making a muslin mock-up, and making certain the project gets finished on time, within budget and exactly to measure and spec. Designers may conditionally market their own designs and products on our web sites. Your location may not be relevant

ASSISTANT DESIGNERS OR FIRST-HANDS

Must be able to do everything a designer does but doesn't have as much experience. Your location may be relevant

DRAPERS

Drapes muslin fabric on dress form to get shape of costume from rendering. Your location may be relevant

PATTERN DRAFTERS

Working with flat patterns (originals), altering existing patterns, or grading patterns (different sizes). Will also take the muslin from the draper and clean-up to make paper pattern with notations, such as the grain of fabric and directions. Some patterns are sold. Your location may be relevant

CUTTERS

Cuts the pattern for the actual item fabric. All the parts and pieces (zipper, buttons, interfacing, trim, etc.) must be there for the stitcher. Your location may be relevant

ARTISANS, SCULPTERS OR CRAFTSPERSONS

Works on everything that is not a sewn item, including plastics and metals, such as armor, faux weapons, helmets, busts, mannequins, jewelry, masks and dolls. Your location may not be relevant.

LEATHER SMITHS

Works on everything in leather, such as holsters and belts. Your location may not be relevant.

SEAMSTRESSES OR STITCHERS

Must be able to do some basic tailoring, sew on any fabric type from leather to tissue weight silk and lingerie. A background in theatre and bridal alterations is helpful. No beginners please. Your location may be relevant.

SHOE OR BOOT MAKERS

Recreate real boots or shoes from pictures that can be worn as distinct from shoe/boot covers or faux boots. Your location may not be relevant.

MILLINERS

Recreate all kinds of headwear, such as hats, bonnets, tiaras and crowns from pictures. Your location may not be relevant.

PHOTOGRAPHERS AND MODELS

Whenever possible we prefer to use customer images on our web site. Since it's often challenging getting good images, it may be desirable to commission professional models and photographers local to the San Francisco Bay Area.

ILLUSTRATORS, ARTISTS AND COPYRIGHTERS

Whenever possible we desire professional artists help us win corporate and agency accounts. You will be working on original designs with visual designers. The process begins with black & white and coloured sketches for the crucial first impression in often a long iterative process until designs are approved for prototypes.
